CJ Powers was raised in a family of storytellers and thrived when writing action/adventure stories. His passion for weaving thrills into his stories came from his life experiences as an undercover insurance investigator and his enjoyment of the outdoor sports of scuba diving, spelunking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting. Having been raised by a cop, CJ has naturally salted in many true-life incidents into his crime stories.
 
CJ has worked in various roles on over 300 TV episodes and eight feature films. He has written five books and hundreds of articles. He received a few screenwriting awards for independent family fare. He has also taught screenwriting workshops to both professionals and amateurs in over a dozen countries. His blog is followed by people in 144 countries.
